Ten new cases of COVID-19 reported in Niagara Region over the long weekend

There were 10 new cases of COVID-19 spread over the course of the long weekend in the Niagara Region.

Saturday (July 31) saw the most new cases – six – the highest number in Niagara over the past couple of weeks.

That dropped to three new cases on Sunday and further still to just one on Civic Holiday Monday.

Vaccinations continue to climb as now 70.1 per cent of the Niagara population have received one shot while 60.3 per cent are fully vaccinated.

Three municipalities are still at zero cases – Fort Erie, Port Colborne and Wainfleet – while St Catharines remains the highest at 16 followed by Niagara Falls at eight.
