Temperatures to drop to freezing in parts of GTA and southern Ontario

Although the fall weather has been mild so far, some very chilly temperatures are in the forecast for this weekend. 

According to Environment Canada, temperatures in Mississauga, Brampton, Oakville and Burlington will drop to zero degrees Celsius overnight on Sunday, Oct. 22. 

Temperatures will drop to -1 in other parts of southern Ontario, including Oshawa and Hamilton.

Nighttime temperatures aren’t expected to fall quite so low in the Niagara region. In Niagara Falls, overnight temperatures on Sunday are expected to sit at 3 degrees Celsius. 

As for the rest of the week, daytime temperatures are expected to stay in the double digits. Temperatures on Oct. 20 and 21 will be in the mid-teens during the day in Mississauga and on Sunday, they’ll sit at a cool 10 degrees before dropping to zero overnight. 

Highs of 13, 14 and 13 are expected on Monday, Oct. 23, Tuesday, Oct. 24 and Wednesday, Oct. 25.
