If you’ve been struggling with the heat, you can breathe a sigh of relief this week as there will be a bit of rain, sunshine, and cooler temperatures.

Following Environment Canada’s four-day heatwave alert last week, residents in the Mississauga and Brampton areas can look forward to temperatures ranging from a high of 25°C to a low of 9°C. It appears that fall weather is gradually making its presence felt.

As of today (Sept. 10) it will be partly cloudy with a high of 21 C. As the evening approaches temperatures are expected to drop to 13 C.

Meteorologists predict a mainly sunny Monday with cloudy periods beginning in the afternoon. Temperatures will rise to 25 C which will be the warmest day compared to the rest of the week. There is also a thirty per cent chance it will rain closer to the evening with the possibility of extending into the next day.

Environment Canada calls for a rainy Tuesday with mostly cloudy skies and temperatures sitting at 22 C. The rain may continue into the night before stopping completely by the next morning.

The Weather network anticipates Wednesday and Thursday to be a mix of sun and clouds with temperatures hovering at 20 C. A thirty to forty per cent chance of scattered showers could also make an appearance over the course of the two days. On these days, temperatures will fall to a low of 9 C  by the evening —marking it as the chilliest out of the seven days.

The rain finally disappears on Friday and Saturday with temperatures picking up to 23 C. Skies will be fairly clear.

Residents might want to go for that stroll or enjoy the outdoors before fall officially arrives!
