February will go out in the Niagara Region the way the month traditionally does – cold and grey.

While the month has seen some surprisingly high temperatures here and there, it’s back to the same dull conditions that tend to mark the month – very little sun and biting cold with the wind chill.

While tomorrow (Feb. 24) might see brief glimpses of sun, it will also be the coldest day for Niagara Falls, St. Catharines and the rest of Niagara Region, dipping to -4C.

The one positive is that when the region gets to Sunday (Feb. 26), the positive temperatures will be coming, though they’ll only peak at +3C on Monday and Tuesday, according to Environment Canada.

After last year’s icy rain, there will be periods of more icy drizzle today, making roads slippery.
