Teenager killed in eastern Ontario crash

A teenager is dead after a crash in eastern Ontario Friday morning.

Ontario Provincial Police said that at around 6:39 a.m., officers from the OPP’s Refrew Detachment responded to a serious two-vehicle crash.

It happened on Highway 17 at Storyland Road in Horton Township, which is west of Ottawa.

A 19-year-old man from Ottawa died at the scene.

The highway was closed in the area after the incident.

There’s no word on what may have caused the crash.

OPP are asking that any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage from the area at the time of the collision come forward.
