Teen stabbed in Ajax fight amid crowd of 20 students, police search for suspect

A teenager was stabbed in a fight outside of a gas bar in Ajax amid a crowd of 20 students and police are searching for the suspect.
Durham Regional Police reported investigators were on scene at a commercial lot near Rossland Road and Harwood Avenue North via Twitter around 2 p.m. February 15. Officers said one of the students was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Investigators are at a disturbance at a commercial lot at Rossland Rd and Harwood Ave North after a fight amongst several students. One teen suffered minor injuries and taken to a local hospital.

Officers arrived to area about an hour prior to their announcement. The crowd of teens reportedly scattered from the scene when police showed up.
Police found one teen, a 17-year-old boy, suffering a non-life threatening stab wound. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
DRPS said in a later statement officers searched the area, but did not find any suspects. Investigators are asking the public for any evidence or information they may have to help identify the parties involved.
