A teenager is charged with allegedly firing pepper spray in an Oshawa movie theatre.

On March 24, Durham Police responded to the Cineplex Movie Theatres at 1351 Grandview Street North. Around 11:30 p.m. a pair of men walked into a movie and spread pepper spray around, police say.

Police identified a suspect, a 17-year-old boy, and arranged for him to surrender. The boy’s parents dropped him off at a police station on April 11 where he was formally charged with mischief and administering a noxious substance. He’s since been released with conditions.
