The union representing the elementary public school teachers in Peel is hosting a public meeting to highlight the need for a safe return to school in September.

The virtual meeting, which will be conducted virtually via Zoom, is open to members of the Peel Elementary Teachers’ Local as well as people in the community.

The strategy meeting is Monday, Aug. 16, at 4 p.m.

According to the event website, Peel is a COVID-19 hotspot and continues to be one of Ontario’s hardest-hit regions. Everyone is invited to come out to fight for a #SafeSeptember and school year.
