Taste of Streetsville Has Started
It is time once again for another culinary journey around Streetsville, to enjoy the many tastes the Village in the City has to offer. Back for its seventh year, Taste of Streetsville will feature 12 local restaurants offering a $30, three course, prix fixe menu from Sept. 10th - Oct. 8th.
Once again this year two smaller cafes and bakeries will also take part in the 'Just a Taste of Streetsville', which features lower priced dining options during the event.
As in previous years $0.50 from each meal sold will be donated to the Trillium Health Partners Foundation. This year's donation will once again be benefitting the redevelopment of the Emergency Department at the Credit Valley Hospital.
"In 2014 through two events we raised over $2,000 for the hospital foundation, one of our biggest donations yet," said Angela Trewartha, General Manager of the Streetsville BIA. "This year with our annual Fall edition of the event, and its popularity growing we hope to exceed those numbers."
This year's participating restaurants include: Andiamo Pasta Plus, Cagneys, Cantina Mexicana, Cuchulainn's Irish Pub, Enzo's Two Guys from Italy, The Franklin House, Giorgio's Ristorante, Goodfellas, Graydon Bar and Grill, Jing Thai, Mondello Ristorante and Saucy.
Participating in Just a Taste of Streetsville are: Kate's Town Talk Bakery and Second Cup.
Each time diners choose the Taste of Streetsville menu at participating restaurants, they will have a chance to win a gift basket from that restaurant, which includes a free dinner for two and other prizes.
"Streetsville is now known as a great place to come and enjoy a variety of culinary choices," said Jessica Iatomasi, co-owner of Mondello Ristorante and Co-Chair of Promotions for the Streetsville BIA. "This event gives people a chance to try many different local restaurants for a great price and give back at the same time, and we hope it means they keep coming back to
