Warms weather brings out the golf clubs, so why not take a few swings this summer for a good cause in Oakville.

The 35th Annual Mayor Rob Burton Invitational Golf Tournament, in support of the United Way Halton & Hamilton, is just around the corner.

The fundraising tournament, which is set for Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at the Glen Abby Golf Club, located on 2333 Dorval Drive, includes 18 holes of golf, use of power carts, a BBQ lunch and gourmet dinner.

Registration opens at 11:30 a.m. with action set to tee off with a shotgun start at 1 p.m.

While any day out on the course is a good day for golfers, you’ll be hitting the greens for an important cause that has a profound impact on the local community by ensuring an essential network of programs and services work together to achieve lasting, positive change.

Few, if any, organizations have the same depth, reach and history of making such a profound difference in the lives of others like United Way.

“More important than a day out playing the game you love, you’ll be supporting a vital network of social service agencies, in a time when they need it the most,” said the tournament media release.

“When you partner your brand with United Way Halton & Hamilton, you help to improve lives locally.”
