Swimmer who drowned in Guelph Lake identified as Mississauga resident

A person who recently drowned in Guelph Lake has been identified as 21 year old Rayan Kaber from Mississauga.

Kaber was first reported missing on Sunday, July 17 in the Guelph Lake Conservation area, according to a statement from OPP today.

The body was recovered the following day (July 18) by the OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit.

“The coroner attended the scene and a post mortem has been scheduled,” said police.

No further details surrounding Kaber’s drowning have been disclosed at this time.

Wellington County OPP thanked those who assisted with the search.
