Suspect who allegedly set fire to house in Brampton still at large

Police asking for help in arson investigation

Police are appealing to the public for help in locating a suspect who allegedly set fire to a house in Brampton.

Peel police say an unknown individual was spotted in a residential area near Autumn Drive on July 2. According to officers, the suspect approached a house and started a fire, which then caused extensive damage to the front door and front windows of the targeted home. 

The suspect then fled on a black bicycle.

Police say no injuries were sustained by occupants within the residence, however, the suspect remains at large. According to the release, the suspect was last seen at the Bramalea Road and Mayfield Road intersection. 

Peel Regional Police are asking any members of the public who have any information on the incident or the suspect to come forward.
