Suspect wanted in Hamilton after knife-point robbery

A 38-year-old Hamilton man after a west-end business was robbed at knifepoint. The man is also accused of committing a separate commercial robbery, as well as a break and enter at another business. 

Hamilton police are on the lookout for a man suspected of robbing a west-end business at knife-point.

The incident occurred last Friday (Aug. 20) at around 8:15 p.m. Police say the man entered the unnamed business at an unspecified address and approached the counter before asking for money. The suspect brandished a knife, according to police.

The man was last seen on foot, running towards the Hamilton-Brantford Rail Trail.

The weapon produced by the suspect is described as a blue pocket knife and is still outstanding, according to police.

The suspect, in his late thirties/early forties, is described as having an average building, shaved dark hair, and “a distinct tattoo” on the left side of his neck. When he was last seen, the suspect was wearing a grey “Ecko” t-shirt, a blue face covering, light-coloured shorts, white socks, black shoes, and a black backpack.
