A man who attacked a woman as she walked a St Catharines trail remains on the lam.

On July 5 around 6:50 p.m. a woman was walking the 12 Mile Creek Trail off of Glendale Ave. An unidentified man approached the woman from behind.

He proceeded to attack the woman physically inflicting minor injuries. Then he sped off on a red e-bike.

Police describe the attacker as a white man between 50 and 55 years old. He stands 5’5″ and weighs 200 pounds. He was wearing a black shirt, black shorts and two-strap sandals.

The e-bike had a basket on the front and the attacker was blaring music through a speaker attached to the machine.

Investigators do not believe this attack was sexual in nature. They said “there is no evidence” of such a motive.
