Suspect sought after female victim sexually assaulted in Oakville

Police are investigating and searching for the suspect of a sexual assault earlier this month in Oakville.

The incident happened on Thursday, October 7 at around 3:15 p.m. The victim was walking on the narrow pedestrian walkway between Whilabout Terrace and Burloak Drive when she was approached by the suspect.

“The suspect tried to engage the victim in conversation, and then he pulled her to the ground and sexually assaulted her. The suspect ran off when some children approached the area,” said police.

“He was last seen running northbound on the pedestrian walkway towards Whilabout Terrace.”

The suspect is described as a white male, between 25 and 30 years old, 6′ to 6’1″ tall, with a thin build, short blond hair, blue eyes, and an unshaven face. He was wearing a navy blue t-shirt with a grey jogging pants and white Nike Airforce One running shoes.

Police are asking residents who live in the area to check their home security video for anyone matching the suspect’s description.
