Suspect known to frequent Durham wanted on a dozen firearm-related charges

The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) Squad wants the public’s assistance in finding a man wanted for a dozen firearm-related charges who is known to frequent Durham Region and Toronto.

Salil Islam, 21, is described as a South Asian male, 5’10 and 130 lbs with black hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo on his right forearm saying, ‘LOYALTY NEVER CHANGES.’.

Islam’s charges include two counts of possession of a loaded gun and two counts of carrying a concealed weapon.
