Suspect in two Niagara Falls armed robberies remains at large

A suspect of back-to-back armed robberies remains at large - NRPS

A man believed to be involved in back-to-back armed robberies in Niagara Falls remains at large and considered armed and dangerous.

Two gas stations in the city were robbed a mere 25 minutes apart between 4:50 am and 5:15 a.m on June 29. A man walked into both locations armed with a handgun and made off with unknown amount of cash and scratcher lotto tickets.

In their first release Niagara Regional Police released this image of an unidentified suspect.

On July 2, NRP announced that they had identified a suspect of the robberies. 

Jeffrey Christopher Swalm, 45 of Niagara Falls, is wanted in connection to the robberies of two gas stations in the city. He has been charged with two counts each of armed robbery, pointing a gun and disguise with intent.

Swalm was last seen in Fort Erie on June 29. Police describe him as a white, 6′, 240 lbs, with a light complexion, brown and red hair, and blue eyes.

He has a scar on his right cheek and eye and can be identified by multiple tattoos:

  • left upper arm – skull and dragon
  • right forearm – tribal
  • chest – dragon’s head

Police acquired more photos of Swalm and have released them in the hopes the public can help find him. Anyone with information of Swalm’s whereabouts can call the NRPS detectives at 905-688-4111, #3, ext. 1009494.

However police said, “Swalm is considered armed and dangerous.  Members of the public should not approach and are encouraged to contact 911 immediately.”
