Suspect Flees Attempted Robbery After Being Struck by Banana in Mississauga

Officers are on scene investigating an incident at a Mississauga convenience store this evening.
Shortly after 9:00 p.m., police reported an attempted robbery at a store in the area of Hurontario and John Street.
According to police, the male suspect fled the scene after the store employees defended themselves by striking the suspect with a banana.
No injuries have been reported and there is no suspect description at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
