brampton lottery wins twice

A Brampton woman is planning her dream getaway after scoring her second big lottery win and claiming a $50,000 prize.

Linda Muzyka got a familiar surprise while checking an instant ticket for Poker Lotto.

The 59-year-old from Brampton said she initially thought she’d won $100 but was shocked to see her ticket was worth a whopping $50,000.

“I looked again and saw it was a big winner. I was very happy,” she said while picking up her winnings at the OLG prize centre in Toronto,

The win is Muzyka’s second big prize playing Poker Lotto as she previously scored a huge $170,000 prize.

Now with two wins under her belt, Muzyka said she plans on spending some of her winnings on a long vacation in a sunny destination.

The OLG says Instant Big Hit is available for $10 with a top prize of $250,000, and the odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.80. OLG says it supports safe play and responsible gambling through its PlaySmart program.

The winning ticket was purchased at Zalles Convenience on Queen Street in Brampton.
