Strong winds knock out power for over 7,000 homes in Mississauga

Major power outages continue to be reported in Mississauga today due to severely strong winds.
As of 3:16 p.m., Alectra reports that approximately 7,000 homes and businesses are dealing with outages in parts of the city.
Outages have been reported in the following areas:
Crews have been dispatched and power is estimated to return by 8:00 p.m.
“Extremely windy conditions are causing downed trees and power lines,” says Mississauga Fire. “Residents are urged to stay clear of downed power lines as they may still be energized.

A wind warning remains in effect for Mississauga.
Very strong winds are expected today and into the evening, gusting upwards of 90 km/h.
UPDATE: At 5:20 p.m. these are the areas that have power outages.
