Strong winds expected in Oshawa, Pickering, Uxbridge and rest of Durham Region

It’s going to be a very windy one today (Dec. 11) in Oshawa, Pickering, Uxbridge and throughout northern and southern Durham Region.
A cold front will sweep through southern Ontario this afternoon and evening, bringing strong winds gusting at up to 90 km/h.
Residents should be cautious as strong winds can often cause damage to buildings (such as to roof shingles and windows) cause tree branches to break, or affect road conditions.
Power outages may also occur.
