Stricken driver in Mississauga travelled 12 km with only 3 wheels: OPP

Alert highway users might have prevented a major crash on the Queen Elizabeth Way highway on Thursday, say the Ontario Provincial Police.
The OPP’s highway safety division reported that the driver of a Hyundai Tucson had a medical episode as their vehicle lost its left front tire. The light SUV travelled for 12 km on three wheels and one rim. Witnesses who spotted the unsafe vehicle called 911 and the Mississauga OPP were able to herd it on to the shoulder safety.

Peel Paramedics also arrived, and the driver was taken to hospital.
