A night of racing on Oakville streets for two drivers ended up in charges and having their vehicles impounded.

The two drivers were racing each other in the area of Third Line on Wednesday night when they were caught by Halton Regional Police Cst. Marc Taraso.

“Attended Third Line Area tonight for complaint of speeding,” Cst. Taraso said on Twitter. “Located these two vehicles racing each other. (They were) zig-zagging around traffic and blowing through a residential stop sign.

“One (was) a muffler-less #noisemaker.”

The two drivers were stopped and both charged with numerous offences, including speeding.

Both drivers had their licences suspended for 30 days and their vehicles have been impounded for 14 days.

The two drivers have been summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
