With the province easing COVID-19 restrictions throughout Ontario, shoppers in Mississauga and beyond will be excited to know that Heartland Town Centre is finally reopening on Friday (June 11) for retail and patio dining.

While stores in indoor centres and malls will largely remain closed under the first phase of Ontario’s reopening plan, Heartland Town Centre — sprawling 210 acres across all four corners of Mavis and Britannia — has a wide variety of stores that all have street-facing storefronts and can reopen at a reduced capacity.

Heartland Town Centre offers a mix of nearly 200 full-priced and outlet stores covering over two million square feet of retail space, featuring everything from fashion and home goods to specialty foods and groceries.

The centre’s most popular brands and retailers include Adidas, Nordstrom Rack, Sephora, Bath & Body Works, Best Buy, Costco, Canadian Tire, Banana Republic, DSW, H&M, Homesense, JYSK, Golf Town, Geox, Harry Rosen Outlet, Loblaws, Marshalls, Sephora, PetSmart, The Brick, Tommy Hilfiger, Wal-Mart, and Winners. You can call each store directly to confirm which hours and days they’re open on.

That’s not all — patio dining at Heartland Town Centre’s restaurants will also open on June 11. Grab a bite and enjoy the summer weather on the patio at The Keg, Milestones, Fionn MacCool’s, East Side Mario’s, Tandoori Flame, Big Rig Kitchen and Brewery, and Nando’s.

As an outdoor and more easily accessible shopping centre, Heartland provides a safer shopping experience at a time when public health concerns are still high.

“Most people are very concerned about visiting areas where there are a lot of people in crowded spaces,” said Paola Caldaroni, Marketing Manager for Heartland.

“Heartland Town Centre provides the same great shopping experience as other malls in the country, with the same high calibre of brands and offerings, but in a safer environment. Our visitors don’t have to walk through crowded mall corridors to get to one or two stores.”

For even more convenience, Heartland Town Centre has a mobile app which features a store directory, exclusive daily promos, and trip planning to help you get from store to store with no data required. The app is available to download on Apple and Android devices.
