Stolen vehicle leads Hamilton cops to a $1.5 million drug haul

What started out as an automobile investigation by police has led to the seizure of $1.5 million in cocaine found at a Hamilton home.

Hamilton Police say events unfolded Thursday evening (May 13) when officers arrived at the home in the area of Rhymal Rd. E. and Upper Sherman Ave.

Executing a search warrant, police were able to recover a stolen Lincoln SUV as well as uncovering 13.2 kilograms of cocaine with an estimated street value of $1.5 million.

Police also located and seized three replica firearms and multiple fraudulent vehicle plates during the execution of the warrant.

Charged are Alicia Fancey, 36, and Taylor Parnell, 22, both of Hamilton with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, five counts of possession of counterfeit license plates, trafficking cocaine and proceeds of crime under $5,000.
