Stolen vehicle and loaded handgun seized, 5 men including one from Brampton charged

Five men including a 37-year-old from Brampton have been charged after police say they found a loaded handgun while investigating a stolen vehicle.
The arrests happened on Wednesday when Peel Regional Police say officers were working on auto theft enforcement near McVean Drive and Cottrelle Boulevard in Brampton.
Police say they located a stolen vehicle in the area and an investigation led officers to find a loaded handgun.
Five people including a 37-year-old man from Brampton were arrested in connection to the investigation and the accused was charged with multiple offences.
Gurgit Dosanjh, 37, of Brampton has been charged with:
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Possession of a loaded firearm
- Occupant of a motor vehicle knowing there is a firearm
- Careless storage of a firearm
- Possession of a controlled substance
Jasvir Gill, 37, of Quebec has been charged with:
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Possession of a Loaded Firearm
- Occupant of a Motor Vehicle Knowing There is a Firearm
- Careless Storage of a Firearm
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
Xx Jagpal Singh, 27, of Quebec has been charged with:
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Possession of a Loaded Firearm
- Occupant of a Motor Vehicle Knowing There is a Firearm
- Careless Storage of a Firearm
Sunil Masoun, 44, of Toronto has been charged with:
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Possession of a Loaded Firearm
- Occupant of a Motor Vehicle Knowing There is a Firearm
- Careless Storage of a Firearm
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
Iqbal Virk, 31, of Quebec has been charged with:
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Possession of a Loaded Firearm
- Occupant of a Motor Vehicle Knowing There is a Firearm
- Careless Storage of a Firearm
All of the accused were held for a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
