A rash of Pride Flag thefts continue in Burlington.

Halton Regional Police are now investigating the theft of a Pride flag from a home in southeast Burlington at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Friday, June 4.

The latest heist is similar to a series of Pride Flags that were stolen from lawns in Burlington earlier this month. A total of 11 flags had been stolen from nine homes previously. Six of the flags have been returned to the owner with an apology note.

Police have not identified the suspects and their investigation has not confirmed if these incidents are related or not.

June is recognized as Pride Month. Police are reminding residents that hate and division have no place in Halton and they are committed to fully investigating and identifying the individual(s) responsible for these crimes.

Residents who have CCTV and/or dash cam footage from the area and at this date and time or has any information regarding these investigations who have yet to talk to the police is asked to call the 3 District Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825-4777, ext. 2316.
