A Scarborough man is in custody after an investigation into thefts from construction sites around Durham Region between February and March of 2024.

A search warrant was also executed at his storage unit, where about $200,000 worth of stolen power tools, site generators and industrial equipment were discovered.

Andrew Hausman, 34, is charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and two counts of trafficking in property obtained by crime.

He was released on an Undertaking.
