A Mississauga man is being sought after a delivery van was stolen in Toronto and then driven “recklessly” as it fled from police.
Toronto Police said the delivery vehicle was taken at around 9 a.m. on Oct. 4, a Saturday, moments after its driver had left it briefly unattended in the Danforth Avenue and Jones Avenue area.
“The victim parked the van and got out to make a delivery,” police said in a news release late Monday. “A man then entered into the van, fled the scene recklessly and refused to stop for police.”
The stolen van was recovered a short time later by police after it had been abandoned.
Investigators are seeking the public’s help as they search for a suspect.
