Stolen car from Brampton found set on fire in Caledon

Police are investigating after a stolen car from Brampton was found engulphed in flames on the side of a Caledon road.

On Tuesday (Dec. 7) around 12:30p.m., emergency crews were called to Healey Rd. near Innis Lake Rd. in Caledon for reports of a car fire.
Police say first responders found a car on the shoulder of Healey Rd. fully engulphed in flames.

Caledon Fire crews were able to extinguish the blaze, but when police officers began investigating they discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen from Brampton just a day earlier.

Healey Rd. is a frequently traveled roadway, and investigators are looking to speak with anyone who may have dash-camera footage of the incident or may been in the area at the time of the fire.

The vehicle was a white Honda 4-door sedan had an Ontario license plate of BWZA101.
