Stolen auto repair tools in Caledon leads to charge for North York man

Police have laid stolen property and theft charges against a North York man after allegedly stealing automotive equipment in Caledon.

The OPP says officers in Caledon were notified about a stolen tire changing machine and a wheel balancing machine on May 19.

A week later police say they identified a suspect from North York who was arrested and found to be in possession of a stolen Mac Tools TC5000 Tire Changer, a stolen Mac Tools WB4505 Wheel Balancer, and a stolen 2009 Uhaul car trailer.

Police have charged 55-year-old Antonion Calabaro of North York with:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime – over $5,000
  • Traffick of stolen goods over $5,000
  • Theft over $5,000
