Stabbing in Niagara Falls leads to charges for four from Brampton, Caledon

Ontario Welland, New Brunswick police trafficking arrested charges

A stabbing in Niagara Falls has resulted in a series of charges for four men from Bolton, Brampton and Caledon.

The victim, 39, was stabbed in the middle of the Fallsview entertainment district on the corner of Fallsview Blvd. and Murray St. on Sept. 23. He was found a short time later suffering serious stab wounds and rushed to a local hospital. He was later taken out of Niagara Region for more care.

Police learned the victim had gotten into a verbal argument with another man around 2 a.m. This argument escalated to violence. During the conflict, the victim was stabbed and collapsed. FOur men then surrounded him and beat him as he lay bleeding.

Throughout their investigation, police arrested four suspects including;

  • Brahmjit S. Kaloya, 20 of Bolton
  • Amrit S. Chhokar, 20 years old of Caledon
  • Bikram Gosal, 20 of Brampton, and
  • Manraj Singh, 19 of Brampton

Singh is charged with aggravated assault while the other three are charged with assault causing bodily harm. All four remain in custody after a bail hearing on Dec. 5.
