Stabbing in Brampton in the early morning hours

One person has been hospitalized following a stabbing in Brampton in the early morning hours.

Police were called at 6:24 a.m. for a disturbance in the area of Berringer Grove and James Potter Road.

Police attended a residence and located one person that had been stabbed.

The victim has been taken to a trauma centre, police say.

There is a large police presence, so police are asking to avoid this area.

There is no suspect description at this time.
