STABBING: Woman found dead in Mississauga

A woman has died after being stabbed in Mississauga this morning.

Peel Regional Police say the victim was found dead shortly before 9:30 a.m. near Britannia R0ad East and Whittle Road.

Authorities have not released further information about the victim, including her name, age or place of residence, describing her only as an adult.

In addition, descriptions of the suspect or suspects and any surveillance images of those involved are unavailable at this time.

The Homicide Bureau has taken over the investigation.
