St. Catharines woman wanted after stabbing teenage victim

Niagara Police are hunting a St. Catharines woman after she allegedly stabbed a teenage girl on Wednesday (May 25) morning.
Police responded to a call in the Edith Street and St. Paul Street West of St. Catharines at 6:30 am and found the teen suffering from a serious stab wound. She was quickly transported by EMS to the hospital.
However, the suspect left before the police arrived but has since been identified and yesterday (May 26), the police issued a warrant for her arrest.
Samantha May Alligood, 32, who has been known to frequent the Western Hill area of St. Catharines is wanted for aggravated assault, uttering threats and failing to comply with her probation order.
She is described as a black female, 5-foot-5, 150 pounds with brown eyes and black medium length hair. She has three tattoos – the word “Jay” on her left forearm, a floral band on her left wrist and a music note on her right shoulder.
Police say due to the violent nature of the incident, she is not to be approached. Instead, members of the public should contact their Communications Unit at 905-688-4111 or 911 in the event of an emergency.
