The St. Catharines Museum and Welland Canals Centre are sprucing up their facility as their public re-opening is expected within a couple of weeks.

The group posted on their social media, “With steel-toed boots on, we’re onto the next phase of our Interpretive Plan: redeveloping the Museum Galleries.”

And this isn’t a quick reboot. The group said that three years from now all of their displays will be completely different from what the public remembers pre-pandemic.

“Over the next few years, we’ll entirely remodel our gallery and permanent exhibitions to bring new stories and experiences into our space.”

However, the public is welcome to offer their input as the group asked: “What stories would you like to see as we redevelop our gallery space?”
