The investigation into a Dec. 28 robbery of a St. Catharines Canadian Tire Gas Station didn’t last long, as Niagara Police just announced a Dec. 29 arrest in the case.

Daniele Roberto Sforza, 48, of St. Catharines has been charged with robbery and failure to comply with a probation order.

Niagara Police say that late last year, officers responded to a theft call from the gas station on Welland Avenue near Neilson Avenue.

Police allege a lone male suspect entered the store area and demanded money, reportedly threatening staff with a knife that was not shown.

Police say he ran from the area with an undisclosed amount of money.

No injuries were reported during the incident.
