St. Catharines man charged after package with $145,000 worth of drugs seized at border

A package coming from Germany to a St. Catharines address got seized at the border after Canada Border Service Agency agents alerted Niagara Police it contained $145,000 in illegal drugs.

The package contained approximately four kilograms of Ketamine, police say.

On January 24, a subsequent search of the St. Catharines home that was addressed on the package saw a 64-year-old man facing charges.

Xuan Anh Vo has been charged with importing more than one kilogram of illegal narcotics and possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Vo was held in custody for a video bail hearing to be held today (Jan. 25) at the courthouse in St. Catharines.
