St Catharines Conservative candidate, local counsellor putting smiles on Tim Horton’s cookies

St Catharines Ward Three councillor Sal Sorrento and federal Conservative candidate Krystina Waler were put to work in the kitchen of a Tim Horton’s Monday morning (September 13).

But at least it was a happy job. The pair, as well as a few others, were enlisted into decorating the Smile Cookies in the Tim Horton’s at 498 Ontario Street.

With the doughnut chain’s annual fundraiser running September 13 to 19 this year, the Smile Cookies are sold for $1 with 100 per cent of the proceeds going to 500 local charities and organizations in communities across Canada. Locally, the Niagara Children’s Centre will receive the proceeds.
