Never mind dog being man’s best friend – there’s a lucky pooch in St. Catharines who’s about to get spoiled rotten by his owner who just hit a $100,000 lottery win.

Sarkis Mazmanian matched the last six of seven ENCORE numbers in exact order in the February 25 ONTARIO 49 draw for the big cheque.

Mazmanian, who works in the automotive industry, plays the lottery about twice a week, saying, “I always add ENCORE. This is my first big win.”

At the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his windfall, he noted “I checked my ticket on the OLG App and I thought ‘Oh, that’s cool!’ This win feels good. I’ve always thought about what winning big would feel like.”

While his friends and family will get some of the windfall, he added, “And most importantly, my dog. I will spoil him more than I already do!”

The winning ticket was purchased at Avondale on Cushman Road in St. Catharines.
