A woman from Niagara Falls and another from Welland are both pretty happy they said “yes to ENCORE.”

Filomena Maloney of Niagara Falls and Carol Nash of Welland both turned $1 into $100,000 with their big ENCORE wins.

Maloney said she had been playing her own numbers for years but switched to Quick Picks with ENCORE about nine months ago.

The self-employed mother says she was about to sit down and enjoy a drink with her husband when she remembered she had a ticket to check.

“I checked my ticket using the OLG Lottery App and saw Big Winner on the screen, I was shocked! My husband and I laughed and then jumped up to hug each other,” she smiled.

Her winning ticket was purchased at Shoppers Drug Mart on Grantham Avenue in St. Catharines.

Meanwhile in Welland, Nash matched the last six of seven ENCORE numbers in exact order in the June 22 LOTTO MAX draw to win her $100,000.

Her winning ticket was purchased at Circle K on Thorold Road in Welland.
