Square One location will become home to Mississauga’s business innovation hub

Square One will be home to Mississauga’s innovation hub created to attract business and entrepreneurship to the city.
The office is slated to open by the end of this year and will be used to grow and expand services for entrepreneurs through the City’s Economic Development Office.
Called IDEA Mississauga, the location will be used to bring together business experts, City economic development personnel, innovators, start-up companies and aspiring entrepreneurs to share expertise and provide access to resources to help grow and start businesses.
At the launch of the program, Mississauga Mayor Bonnie Crombie said IDEA Mississauga will represent “the city’s complete business ecosystem which is comprised of industry, government, education and providers of space and programs that support innovation.
“What’s so exciting about the launch of IDEA Mississauga is that it brings all of our innovation resources and assets together, making it much easier for entrepreneurs, start-ups and scale-ups to get the support they need to grow and thrive in our city.”
The innovation hub will be located beside the Rec Room on the upper floor of Square One Shopping Centre.
