Splitting the prize is pleasant consolation for Milton lottery winners

There was some splitting of the prize money, but siblings from Milton shouldn’t have a problem with that.

Brother and sister Scott and Wanda Farrel will now share $1,666,666.70 after splitting the $5 million prize with two others in the Sept. 25 Lotto 6/49 Classic Draw.

The duo have been playing the lottery with OLG for nearly 30 years, mostly with their own numbers before switching to relying on quick picks. The strategy seems to have worked.

The pair checked their ticket online and discovered their big win. “We had to do a double take and checked the ticket about four times to be sure! We were in shock and disbelief,” Wanda said.

Scott and Wanda’s family members were surprised and excited to hear the news of the siblings’ windfall.

“This win is a blessing and will help us with our future,” Scott concluded.

The winning ticket was purchased at Becker’s on Steeles Avenue East in Milton.
