Speeding and impaired Brampton driver charged with several offences

Peel Regional Police stopped a speeding vehicle in Brampton and further investigations led to several charges including impaired driving.
On Sunday, Mar. 26, 2023, police say they observed a speeding car in the area of Steeles Ave W/ Financial Dr in Brampton.
Police were able to stop the vehicle and conducted a check.
Further investigations revealed that the driver had an ignition interlock condition on their license, due to a previous impaired conviction.
Police ran an alcohol screening test which the driver failed to pass as the reading flashed an “alert” result.
Officers charged the driver with a three day license suspension and the car will be impounded for 45 days.
