Special weather statement: Heavy rainfall in Mississauga, Brampton and Hamilton

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Mississauga for heavy rain on Saturday evening (July 24), as well as for Brampton, Halton, Hamilton, and Niagara.
Rainfall amounts reaching 30 to 50 mm, and potentially more in some areas, are expected.
“Showers and thunderstorms are forecast to move across the area this evening through tonight. Plenty of moisture in the atmosphere will ensure that the rain will be heavy at times, with locally heavy rainfall accumulations likely,” says Environment Canada.
Rainfall warnings may be issued later in the day.
