Special weather statement for thunderstorms in Hamilton

It is turning out to be a rainy end to the Canada Day long weekend in Hamilton.

Widespread showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast this morning, with rainfall measuring about 30 to 50 millimetres, according to a special weather statement for Hamilton issued by Environment Canada.

Showers are expected to decrease in the afternoon.
