Burlington Transit is making it easy for young people to hit the road…at least on the bus.

This summer’s “Tap into Freedom” program offers a youth pass to get around the city.

If you are 13 to 19 years of age and have a Presto card, you can purchase the summer bus pass at the Downtown Transit Terminal located at 430 John Street.

You can purchase a pass for July and August for $50, otherwise the passes are $25 a month.

Passes that can be used in July are available until July 12. August passes can be purchased from July 18 to Aug. 12.

The passes are valid for unlimited travel on Burlington Transit but cannot be used on other transit systems.

Without the pass, youth can ride for free on Burlington Transit after 6 p.m. and on weekends.

If you haven’t got a Presto card you can purchase one at the Downtown Transit Terminal, Burlington GO Stations, Shoppers Drug Mart and online.
