A festival featuring South East Asian art and cuisine will be held in Mississauga early next year.

Tastes of SEA 2023, is a festival that is an annual celebration of the “finest of Asia” in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) where community members can immerse themselves in South, East, and South East Asian culture.

The event, which was inspired by Winterlicious and the growing Asian population in the GTA, aims to propel “the cultural footprint of South, East, and Southeast Asia in Canada” while raising awareness against human trafficking and child exploitation.

It also recognizes the need for a united showcase of South, East, and South East Asian art, culture and cuisine in the GTA.

This year’s event will take place at the International Centre Hall 3, located at 6900 Airport Road from Jan. 13 to 15, 2023.

It is set to feature authentic cuisine, children’s entertainment, a live concert, a multicultural parade, a fashion show, a cultural decoration competition, an art exhibition and a raffle.

General admission tickets are $15 and tickets for seniors are $10. Kids may attend for free.

A free gift will be provided to the people who purchase the first 1,000 tickets.
