Someone out there is holding an $8.8 million lottery ticket from Saturday’s Lotto 6/49 draw that was purchased in Mississauga.

The lucky person, or group, bought the jackpot-winning ticket somewhere in Mississauga, according to the OLG, which won’t disclose exactly which outlet sold the ticket due to security reasons.

Meanwhile, a $1 million-winning ticket from the same draw was purchased in the Niagara area, lottery officials say.

And Ontario completed the clean sweep of big prizes from the Dec. 4 draw as the ticket that collected second prize was purchased in southwestern Ontario. The $207,248.90 ticket was sold in Lambton County, near Sarnia, lottery officials say.

Additionally, three tickets sold in Ottawa, Simcoe County and Grey County won $100,000 Encore prizes, the OLG said.

Jackpot for the next Lotto 6/49 draw, on Wednesday, will be an estimated $5 million.
