Some roads closing Friday for Hamilton high school’s charity triathlon

Ancaster High School’s big charity triathlon will close some roads for seven hours on Friday, May 26.

Between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., these roads won’t be accessible:

  • Jerseyville Road, Highway 52 to Meadowbrook Drive
  • Meadowbrook Drive, Jerseyville Road to Morwick Drive
  • Martin Road, Jerseyville to north limits

For the 22nd year, Ancaster High School’s Grade 12 leadership class is holding its “Dared-to-Tri Triathlon.”

The event has 550 participants, including students from grades 6 to 12 and other community members, raising money through pledges for Bennetto Elementary School in downtown Hamilton.

Participants are coming from different parts of southern Ontario.
